Brian Armstrong’s Challenge: If You’re Anti-Crypto, Time to Pack Your Bags!

Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, is riding high on the recent US presidential election results. He’s making it loud and clear: if you ignore crypto, you might as well start planning for retirement. To Armstrong, embracing crypto isn’t just smart for anyone serious about building a future in finance—it’s essential.

Coinbase, along with venture company a16z, contributes to Fairshake, an organization created to support pro-crypto candidates. This committee has already raised $78 million to back crypto-friendly Congressional candidates in 2026.

But placing Trump in the White House isn’t enough to win this battle; it’s far from over. For instance, Elizabeth Warren recently secured her fourth term in the U.S. Senate and remains a tough opponent with her anti-crypto stance, insisting the crypto sector follow the same regulations as traditional finance. Armstrong, however, sees things differently. He recently posted on X:

“…being anti-crypto is a good way to end your career, as it doesn’t represent the will of the voters, who are disaffected by the current financial system and want change.”

Is Brian Armstrong right? Is it time for crypto skeptics to step aside?

Though it may sound radical, I think, there’s some common sense in this viewpoint. Politicians should address the growing demand for change in the financial system rather than ignoring it year after year.
