Argentina chooses Bitcoin

Another Central American country has become Bitcoin-oriented: Argentina's National Securities Commission has registered the Binance platform as a virtual asset service provider.

Argentine traders will be able to legally trade cryptocurrencies, and Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be legally used when concluding trade contracts.

In supporting this initiative, Argentine President Javier Milea follows the example of El Salvador, where Bitcoin became the national currency in 2021. Such a move will help Argentina overcome galloping inflation, unemployment and crime, as was the case in El Salvador.

I note that Argentina confirms the general global trend towards de-dollarization. And I hope this does not become the beginning of a chain reaction.
