Time and Fox are now using blockchain to fight fake news

Global media brand Time and Fox Corporation are now using Fox’s Verify protocol for immutability of content licensing. The blockchain-based approach ensures the authenticity of journalists’ materials. This is one of the ways to tackle the problem of fake news and misinformation in mass media.

Verify was launched in January 2024 on the Polygon proof-of-stake network. The origin and integrity of digital content is established with cryptography. This represents a significant step toward enhancing the credibility and authenticity of journalistic materials.

It's exciting how this could reshape the media landscape. It would offer a new level of trust and transparency. Theoretically, all slanderous or false insults would become a thing of the past.

However, I still have doubts about whether many media outlets will adopt it in the near future. Otherwise, it would become challenging to manipulate public opinion. Who would be willing to give up such power? Previously, I explored this problem of power. It sounds almost incredible, but I still hope this day will come.

Tether leaves the crypto community When we talk about cryptocurrencies, we imagine something independent, free from traditional finance. This is true, but only for certain cryptocurrencies that are fully decentralized. A fine example is Bitcoin. Who Owns the Mr. 100 Cryptowallet and What Does Upbit Have to Do With it?  Over the past two months, I've been keeping a close eye on the unusual activity of one Bitcoin wallet nicknamed "Mr. 100."
