History shows that communities that achieve high levels of power often find themselves in conflict with state power.

This has been repeated for centuries: organizations are tolerated as long as they are useful, but they become targets as soon as their independence begins to threaten the interests of the rulers. A current example of this is the decision of the US District Court in Seattle in February 2024, when Binance was forced to agree to a deal with the US government, including a fine and supervision of its activities for five years.
