$65 Billion and 4 Months of Prison




Changpeng Zhao, the founder and former CEO of Binance, has become the richest person on the planet in the cryptocurrency world, according to the Forbes billionaire rankings. His fortune is estimated at $65 billion. At age 44, CZ was ranked the 19th richest person, ahead of computer magnate Michael Dell and energy giant Charles Koch.


However, despite such a significant achievement, this did not save Changpeng Zhao: Binance and CZ went their separate ways.


Let me remind you that one of the most serious charges brought against Changpeng Zhao is that he withheld information about transactions that could be associated with terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Al-Qaeda and ISIS.


Some sources claim that Changpeng Zhao still controls the exchange, has the support of powerful allies on the company's board of directors, as well as the support of the mother of his children, who is also actively involved in running the business.


A previously published court document emphasizes that the company’s management knowingly violated American law for five years from August 2017 to October 2022.
