Нere We Go: Sam Altman Tried to Hide the Open AI Source Code and Musk Saw It
Elon Musk suddenly files a lawsuit against OpenAI, accusing them of breach of contract, unfair business practices and failure to share their research for the benefit of humanity.
It came up after Musk announced that OpenAI had already reached the general threshold of singularity (AGI) with the release of GPT-4, and demanded that the technology be open sourced in accordance with the Founding Agreement.
The Singularity Threshold is the idea that one day artificial intelligence (AI) will become so advanced that it will surpass human intelligence and be able to improve its abilities on its own without the help of humans.
Musk states that new developments such as Q* and next-generation LLM are also AGI, making their use inconsistent with the Microsoft agreement and open source code. These allegations give rise to serious concerns about the transparency and ethics of OpenAI's activities and will be scrutinized not only by the court, but also by the general public.
