AI and reality

Now the most discussed topics in the IT community were Metaverses, WEB3 and AI.  It is obvious that very soon we will see changes in the technological way of our civilization. In my opinion, the most visible effect on the life of each of us will be the implementation of a full-fledged AI. 

I specifically noted that the AI must be complete. What is now, in no way it can be called "intelligence". Yes, it can draw a beautiful portrait, but it absolutely refuses to depict the right number of fingers. It can write an article, but AI-generated texts decent publishers flatly refuse to accept. The AI is quick to answer questions. No wonder - it is a computer that should be able to handle large amounts of information.

However, let’s be fair - AI is "getting smarter in the eyes". There is a very high probability that in a few years it will be so clever that it can do intellectual work. 

Computers will compete with programmers, designers, copywriters and so many others. Perhaps they will master the creative professions: writers, poets, artists, composers. 

This, of course, will be an outstanding event in the history of our civilization, but, from a practical point of view, the massive replacement of employees with AI, will cause serious social upheaval. What to do with millions of "extra" people whose only fault is that the computer is better able to calculate the options.

From a historical point of view, everything is going fine. More efficient technology displaces less efficient one, labor productivity increases. However, current productivity growth can be explosive. This is reminiscent of the first decades of the industrial era, when machines replaced people doing hard work.

Ironically, those who now admire AI’s success are likely to lose their jobs.
