Several progressive universities have found a way to solve the problem of counterfeiting


One of the striking examples is a Korean Hoseo University, which began issuing unique digital diplomas in NFT format to graduates in 2021. These digital documents are created on the OpenSea platform using the Ethereum blockchain, ensuring a high level of security and non-forgery.


Massachusetts Institute of Technology is also following an innovative approach by introducing digital certificates on the Blockcerts blockchain technology since 2017. Although they are not directly related to NFTs, they still provide the reliability and security of digital documents.



These steps allow universities to maintain high educational standards by protecting the diplomas issued from falsification. Such documents registered in the blockchain cannot be falsified, since their history can be traced back and forth.
